return to our previous venue of the Mackay Showgrounds meant the children
had a little more time in the sun as they explored the rides and static
displays but everyone agreed that the extra room and beautiful breeze more
than made up for the sunshine.
The world’s most famous clown – Ronald McDonald – and his sidekick, Hamburgler were hugely popular and almost upstaged popular local DJ “Jungle Jim”. Almost! The Party rocked as the kids and their families joined in the dancing and singing and waited their turn to receive gifts in the toy room. Leading the frolics were “Neighbours” stars Ryan Moloney (“Toadie Rebecchi”) and Morgan Baker (“Callum Jones”). It was an exhausted but exhilarated crowd
that wandered out into the evening and left the tireless volunteers to
tidy up. |
