Variety
Queensland
Variety,
the Children's Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of children
with special needs. We believe that all children should be given the opportunity
to make the most of their abilities and to acheive their aspirations and
dreams.
Every
year we raise valuable funds which are channelled into our three major
grant
programs , providing specialised equipment and services for children,
community groups, schools and organisations. Aside from equipment and
facilities, Variety also provides life experiences for disadvantaged children
and those living in remote areas.
In the past 12 months, over 2.7 million has been granted to help over
6000
sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in Queensland, including:
•
Wheelchairs and specialised strollers
•
Hoists, stands, walkers and positioning systems
•
Computers, specialised software, braille machines and communication aides
•
Sunshine coaches
•
Liberty swings
